From Struggling to Thriving: Ronda’s 80 lb. Weight Loss Journey!


RONDA'S STORY

For 45 years, I have practiced Health Optimization. For the last 15 years, I have exclusively helped women and men in their "Third Act" of life optimize their hormones, weight, health, and minds.

When I retired ten years ago, I planned on playing golf, but golf is a great way to ruin a great walk. I rarely got a par on any hole; it's more like a double bogey. But when I receive pre and post-photos of my client's success, these are my hole-in ones.

I'd like you to meet Ronda. We did an interview yesterday, and I'd love to share her answers.

RONDA'S INTERVIEW

Ronda, what made you take the leap and join The HOPE For Menopause Program?

"I didn’t like the reflection of myself in the mirror, windows, glass doors, etc."

How much weight have you lost, and what health improvements have you noticed?

"Around 80 lbs. I feel better all over. I sleep better and no longer need blood pressure medication."

What surprised you most about the program compared to other weight loss methods you've tried?

"I didn’t have to count “points” or “calories,” and I could weigh in the privacy of my own home. The program was easy to do, and it made me realize how much “crud” was in prepackaged in fast foods."

How has the virtual format of The HOPE for Menopause program benefited you?

"I could read it on my time and not attend a meeting at a certain time on a certain day. If I didn’t get it the first time, then I could read it again."

How has your transformation impacted other areas of your life (e.g., relationships, career, mood, activities)?

"I get out of the house more. I don’t hide inside because I’m ashamed of how I look. I feel as if I have more energy, and my “brain/mind” is happier."

What’s the best compliment you’ve received since your transformation?

"People will say “You look great” or “What did you do”?"

What’s your favorite part of Doc’s coaching methods?

"I feel I can tell him anything and he gets it. I have learned and I get reminded that I’m not the only one that faces challenges with their weight and the roadblocks."

What are you most proud of accomplishing through this program?

"Losing weight and knowing that I can mess up but still get back on track the next day."

What would you say to a woman on the fence about joining The HOPE Program?

"You won’t regret it because it truly works. It’s a tool you will use for the rest of your life. You will look at food in a different way. It helps me choose the best foods for a longer life."

How sustainable are the lifestyle changes you've made?

"The tools I have learned will stick with me forever. They are embedded in my brain. When I order off a menu or go grocery shopping, I hear Doc Mac’s voice in my head."

How has the program helped you manage menopause-related symptoms, such as hot flashes, mood swings, or sleep disturbances?

"I sleep better and I have no hot flashes or mood swings."

Did you feel like your menopausal symptoms were a barrier to weight loss before, and how did this program address that?

"I was post-menopausal when I started the program. I knew that my hormones were a huge part of my issues of not being able to lose weight. Learning what to eat and what I “shouldn’t” eat made a huge difference. When it all came together it made sense that in order for a program to work, I needed to get my hormones in check."

What advice would you give to other menopausal women struggling with their weight?

"Start this now. Don’t wait and be miserable. Life is too short and I want to live a long healthy life not just for myself but for my daughter and my granddaughters. So many of us are gone before we get to really enjoy what family is all about."
