MIND OPTIMIZATION THE ART OF SELF-DISCIPLINE Sponsored by the "Third Act " Optimizers In the last Mind Optimization Course, I wrote about how, in the 1980s, I was a motivational speaker but not a very good one. I explained that the best part of my three-year motivational speaker tour was that I got to hang out with the best in the motivational business, New York Times bestsellers, to this day. I listened and learned and discovered that they were all teaching the same thing. The degree of our attendees' success was directly associated with their self-discipline. EULOGY HAVES I have noticed that what makes some of my patients/clients more self-disciplined and, therefore, more successful is that they have taken the time to know what will make them feel satisfied with their lives while they lay on their deathbeds. I call these goals Eulogy Haves. I have also discovered they needed a Eulogy Have for each of the Four Strands of Life.
These Four Eulogy Haves are your purposes in life. In the last step, I wrote about knowing your purpose (your why); your four eulogy haves are your four whys of life. "If you don't know where you're going, you'll have difficulty getting there. To be disciplined, it's essential to be clear on where you want to be at the end of life—whether in health, relationships, business, or mentoring. Answer these questions: When it comes to my Me Strand, what will make me satisfied on my deathbed when it comes to my health?
Regarding my Us Strand, what will satisfy me on my deathbed regarding my closest relationships?
Regarding my Them Strand, what will satisfy me on my deathbed regarding my career?
Regarding my Him Strand, what will satisfy me on my deathbed regarding God?
"If you want to succeed at anything, know your Four Eulogy Haves." If you want me to coach you on optimizing your hormones, weight, health, and mind, I can do all four simultaneously; all you have to do is ask. Oh, and it's FREE! COACH ME DOC Your assignment is to be self-disciplined:
Next week, I will write about the next step to be even more self-disciplined. 🚀 Doc Mac |
I have practiced hormone and weight optimization for over forty-five years. I retired 10 years ago; at least, that is what I thought. When I retired, my wife and I owned and operated several medical clinics specializing in hormone and weight optimization. We discovered that as a woman enters menopause, her hormones become disrupted, causing many women to gain weight rapidly, and no matter what they do, not be able to lose it. If that has happened to you, text me at 209-345-9799. I have found that those who text me are serious about creating the body they desire. Once I receive your text, I will find a convenient time for you to speak with me. During our conversation, I will customize a gourmet weight loss menu for you, and tweak it until it works. Our menus have no caloric restrictions or frequency of meals. There is no charge! 👍 Doc
The PAUSE Live Long! Live Well! “Doc, if you had to name the single most important rule for eating for living long and well, what would it be?” EAT LIKE TOM Imagine a man who lives in quiet solitude along the most beautiful river you’ve ever seen. His log home rests at the gentle bend of an earthly Eden. Butterflies drift through sunlit air. Birds glide effortlessly overhead. Frogs croak in rhythm, okay, maybe no frogs. He wakes as the light spills in, steps outside, and draws in a deep...
The PAUSE Live Long! Live Well! “Doc, why do I suddenly feel more disconnected and irritable since hitting middle age? I swear I used to be more patient… and cuddly!” THE CUDDLE HORMONE A few weeks ago, Vicky and I tucked away into a tiny coffee shop in Rome, one of those spots that define old school, where the cups are mismatched, the chairs wobbly, and everyone seems to know each other. At the table beside us sat an older Italian couple, no, not older than me, who couldn’t keep their hands...
