The Mac Toolbox™ to Weigh Less and Age Less

THE MORNING MESO ELIXIR™

Good morning, Life Optimizers!

Every morning, after completing my mindfulness exercises, weighing myself, and enjoying my coffee, I prepare something special.

I call it THE MORNING MESO ELIXIR™. It's a combination of six ingredients I add to my filtered water to help support my goal of dancing at my grandchildren's weddings. The oldest is 10.

I like to think of the supplements I place in my Elixir as tools.

Your body is constantly maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding itself, and I want to give mine the tools it needs.

This past Monday, I wrote about the science behind these ingredients in my Substack article about Meso Water and the Meso Elixir, which you can read by clicking the link below. Be sure to subscribe; it's free.

Doc, I heard you don’t drink plain water.
What do you drink?

Today, I want to make it easy for you to find the products I use for my Elixir.

One Cup and Done

I add these supplements to warm water after I have had enough coffee. You can make the Elixir and drink it before your morning coffee, or you can skip the coffee and have this instead.

Here are the tools I place in my Morning Meso Elixir.

1. Collagen: The Structural Tool

Collagen is an important part of our skin, tendons, cartilage, and connective tissues. As we age, we make less and less, which makes our skin look older and our joints feel older.

One of the best ways to keep our skin looking younger and our joints feeling younger is to add a scoop of collagen to our morning elixir. Vicky adds collagen to every cup of coffee. It is tasteless, but wow, what a powerful tool for our Weigh Less, Age Less philosophy. And remember, if you purchase it from our dispensary, you will get a 15% discount, but you must first make an account. We purchase most of our products from Thorne. Do your research; you will see why. It is considered the leader in clean, pure supplements.

2. Creatine: The Recovery and Energy Tool

Bodybuilders use creatine to recover quickly from strenuous, aggressive workouts.

Vicky and I use it to recover faster from everyday life and to keep our energy levels elevated.

Creatine helps our cells generate energy.

I'm particularly interested in the emerging research on its benefits for healthy aging and women during and after menopause. It's impressive, which is why creatine has climbed from the bottom rung to the second rung.

3. BCAA: The Muscle Building Tool

After 50, the body loses muscle faster than any of us would like. Muscle also responds less efficiently to all that protein sc need to consume now that we are mature adults.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids, especially leucine, help signal muscles to rebuild, supporting strength, mobility, and metabolism as we age.

The good news is that our product includes both creatine and BCAAs. So you get two tools for the price of one.

4. Fiber: The Gut Tool

Fiber supports digestive health and regularity. Certain types can also help support healthy cholesterol and blood glucose levels. As many discover when we switch to the Meso Menu or any other menu, digestion slows. This is mainly because the microbiome changes. Fiber feeds the good bacteria in our gut, which helps dampen the constipation that usually happens after a menu change. I find this fiber the best I have ever used.

5. Electrolytes: The Hydration Tool

Electrolytes help regulate fluid balance and support normal nerve and muscle function. We need sodium, magnesium, and potassium to help our cells move nutrients in and out.

When you initially lose weight on our program, you lose water retained from bloating. This can cause dehydration and demineralization. That is why during our Lose the Bloat portion of the Meso Menu, it is important to drink 100 ounces of water.

Dehydration can cause headaches and fatigue. Dehydration can also cause demineralization and cramping.

I use electrolytes naturally sweetened with stevia.

The brand I use makes the Elixir very tasty.

6. Myo-Inositol: The Insulin Sensitivity Tool

Myo-inositol supports cellular signaling, including insulin-related processes. As you probably know by now, I feel that if we can increase insulin sensitivity, we are attacking modern-day disease right in its gut: insulin resistance.

Most cancers, diabetes, heart disease, strokes, and Alzhiermers are all associated with insulin resistance.

For goodness sake, work every day to increase sensitivity to the message insulin is sending. I purchase this from Amazon, and there is no discount.

Which of These Five Belongs in Your Morning Routine?

Now, before you order all six, remember something important.

My goal isn't to fill your kitchen cabinets with supplements.

It's to help you build a healthier body, one intentional habit at a time.

And that's what our morning routine is all about.

If you can only afford one or some of the above, or if you want to test one at a time, start from the top and work your way down.

A little better every day, in every way.

Live Younger, Longer!

Hi! I'm Doc Mac.

I have practiced hormone and weight optimization for over forty-five years. I retired 10 years ago; at least, that is what I thought. When I retired, my wife and I owned and operated several medical clinics specializing in hormone and weight optimization. We discovered that as a woman enters menopause, her hormones become disrupted, causing many women to gain weight rapidly, and no matter what they do, not be able to lose it. If that has happened to you, text me at 209-345-9799. I have found that those who text me are serious about creating the body they desire. Once I receive your text, I will find a convenient time for you to speak with me. During our conversation, I will customize a gourmet weight loss menu for you, and tweak it until it works. Our menus have no caloric restrictions or frequency of meals. There is no charge! 👍 Doc

THE PAUSE A NEWSLETTER ABOUT HORMONES Understand your hormones. Feel like yourself again. "Coffee," I Said. "You're such a joker, Doc. I knew it was a dumb question." "I'm being serious." Susan had just completed another successful week of her weight-loss program. She'd lost another 3.2 pounds, bringing her total to 15 pounds in four weeks. But she wasn't celebrating. "Doc, I thought this would be easier." I smiled and sent her a little medal emoji. 🥇 "That's five new lows in a row, Susan....

THE MAC TOOLBOX™ Coffee ☕️ Two things I look for in a cleaner cup of coffee. Coffee the right way Vicky and I travel a lot. And wherever we go, we have a habit of bringing home coffee. We've brought coffee home from places where the beans are grown on mountainsides, roasted in small shops, and sold by people who know more about coffee than I'll ever know. I love discovering the different flavors. But I look for one thing whenever possible. Organic. I prefer organic because I want to be...

"HOW DID YOU DO YESTERDAY? "What side of the bed do you sleep on?" "The left," Susan answered. "When you wake, turn on your left side, bring your knees up, and let the lower part of your legs fall off the bed. At the same time, use your left elbow to lift your torso, allowing gravity to help you sit up in bed." "What are you talking about?" "If you want to weigh less and age less, you need to start respecting your body today before you're 80 years old and struggle to just stand up when you...
