The easiest weight hack I know

"You live as long as your waist is small."

Optimal Body Composition Strand
The HOPE Protocol

1 THING TO KNOW

Stop eating earlier tonight.

Not less.

Not perfectly.

Just earlier.

One of the simplest experiments you can run for your weight is to create a longer stretch between your last bite tonight and your first bite tomorrow.

1 THING TO DO

For the next seven days, try this:

Finish dinner before 7 PM.

Then close the kitchen.

No evening grazing.

No handful of nuts while watching television.

No “healthy” little snack before bed.

Water or a non-caloric beverage? Fine.

Food? Tomorrow.

WHY I WANT YOU DOING IT

Your body doesn't just respond to what you eat.

It also responds to when you eat.

Eating late—especially when it extends your daily eating window—can work against glucose regulation, appetite control, sleep, and body-composition goals.

And here's something I learned during 46 years of helping more than 10,000 women and men:

The little bites count.

People would tell me they stopped eating after dinner.

Then I'd ask a few more questions.

A few almonds.

A bite of cheese.

Half of something left on the counter.

Suddenly, “I don't eat after dinner” had become a three-hour eating event.

Your metabolism doesn't know it was “just a bite.”

YOUR 7-DAY CHALLENGE

For seven nights:

Dinner finished by 7 PM. Kitchen closed afterward.

Then pay attention to:

Your morning hunger.

Your sleep.

Your morning weight.

And especially how you feel when you wake up.

Don't try to change ten things.

Change one thing and observe what happens.

That's how Vicky and I approach our health in our 60s and 70s.

ONE QUESTION

What's the hardest time of day for you to control your eating?

Morning?

Afternoon?

Or after dinner?

Hit reply and tell me.

I read them.

Live Younger, Longer,

Doc & Vicky Mac
Ketchikan Alaska, August 2026

Vicky and I still have so much of the world to see. That makes our commitment to Live Younger, Longer stronger with every trip.

P.S. Next week's Hack moves to HEALTH. I'll give you one ridiculously simple thing you can start doing for your future self.

Hi! I'm Doc Mac.

I have practiced hormone and weight optimization for over forty-five years. I retired 10 years ago; at least, that is what I thought. When I retired, my wife and I owned and operated several medical clinics specializing in hormone and weight optimization. We discovered that as a woman enters menopause, her hormones become disrupted, causing many women to gain weight rapidly, and no matter what they do, not be able to lose it. If that has happened to you, text me at 209-345-9799. I have found that those who text me are serious about creating the body they desire. Once I receive your text, I will find a convenient time for you to speak with me. During our conversation, I will customize a gourmet weight loss menu for you, and tweak it until it works. Our menus have no caloric restrictions or frequency of meals. There is no charge! 👍 Doc

If you want to Live Younger, Longer, here's one small thing to try this week. THE LIVE YOUNGER, LONGER HACK #1 This week's focus: HORMONES 1 THING TO KNOW Get outside within an hour of waking up. Not behind a window. Not staring at your phone next to a sunny window. Actually go outside. Your body uses morning light as one of the signals that tells your internal clock: The day has begun. And that matters more than most people realize. 1 THING TO DO Tomorrow morning, go outside for 10 minutes...

“Doc, I’ve always been curvy, but now that I’m in my 60s. I’ve developed a new curve: my belly. Why now?” The Answer Estrogen Dominance The Workshop Continued I stood in front of the two dozen women. The question had been asked by a woman standing in the middle of the group. She was wearing a loose white linen blouse. I motioned for her to sit down, because this was going to take a minute. It’s not from your diet, because I can see from your skin that you eat a healthy menu. She nodded in...

BE YOURSELF AGAIN BE YOUNGER, LONGER A substantial body of psychological, sociological, and perceptual research verifies that many women experience a shift in their sense of femininity as they age. NIH THE PROBLEM Women over 60 don’t have a femininity problem; they have a hormone problem. Let me reset the scene. I was giving a lecture to a couple dozen women who were interested in my HRT protocol. I stood there and asked, “When ovulation stops, which hormone initiates the cascade of hormonal...
